8 U.S. Code § 1304(e) – Personal possession of registration or receipt card

"Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d) of this section."

"Any alien who fails to comply with [this requirement] shall be guilty of a misdemeanor..."

미 이민 당국에서는 만 18세 이상이고, 미국 시민이 아닌 경우, 미국 내 합법적인 신분을 증명하는 서류를 항상 소지해야 합니다.

이는 연방법(이민 및 국적법 _ INA 264 - 8 U.S.C. 1304)에 따라 요구되는 사항입니다.

* 아래의 서류들을 소지하지 않는 경우, 최대 $100의 벌금 또는 최대 30일의 구금 또는 그 두가지 모두에 처해질수 있습니다.

참고 : 리얼 ID 또는 주정부에서 발급한 운전면허증만으로는 이민 신분을 증명할수 없습니다.
